Tonight's NBA preview

Orlando vs Charlotte
Orlando win
1) Orlando's frontline of Dwight Howard alone is too big a challenge for Charlottes defenders, predict Howard to have a 20-15 game (20 points 15 rebounds)
2)If Orlando knock down the long ball Charlott are going to have big trouble chasing them off the 3 point line whilst they're trying to double or even triple down on Howard.
3)Expect Kemba Walker to provide the scoring for Charlotte

Cleveland vs Indiana
Indiana wins
1)Expect David West to lead  Indiana in scoring with Danny Granger and Paul George.
2)Look for Kyrie irving to be leading the break for the Cavaliers and being their lead scorer with Antawn Jamison.
3)Not one of the best mathchups of the night give it a miss if i was you.

Detroit vs Boston
Boston wins
1)Battle of the Veterans - Peirce, O'Neal, Allen, Garnett, Daniels, Dooling v Prince, Wallace, Wilkins, Gordon.
2)If Garnett doesn't take on the scoring role he needs to Boston will have a tough night.
3)Pierce is expected to debut tonight which will boost bostons chances even though Paul Peirce isn't in rhythm yet.

New Jersey vs Atlanta
Atlanta wins
1)Al Horford and Joe Johnson the keys to the win.
2)Expect a big game from Brook lopez apart from Horford Atlanta haven't got too much to throw his way.
3) Massively underrated Teague will lead the break for Atlanta giving us some highlights.

Houston vs Memphis
Memphis wins
1)Jordan Hill, Kevin Martin and Lowry to lead the Rockets in scoring. Terrence williams providing the high flying highlights
2)Marcus Morris will be coming out hot following his great performances previous
3)Zeebo and Gasol dominate downlow with their size. Gay, Zeebo and Mayo provide the scoring.

Phoenix vs New Orleans
New Orleans wins
1)Apart from Robin Lopez the suns might have trouble defending the paint against Landry and Kaman and keeping Emeka Okafor off the boards.
2)Expect West to fill it up with scoring and Nash to be providing the offense for Suns.
3)Apart from Nash suns dont have enough offense to compete with New Orleans Ariza, Landry and Gordon.

Miami vs Minnesota
Miami wins
1)Lebron gets the win on his birthday
2)Rubio to have a good game stepping up to the plate, leads minnesota with assists.
3)Lebron or D-Wade still wont attempt a 3-pointer this season, the fastbreak wont be stopped well by Minnesota.

Washington vs Milwaukee
Washington wins
1)Expect Wall and McGee to lead the break providing some highlights
2)Bogut outplays McGee down on the low block.
3)Give it a miss if i was you not the best game of the night.

Toronto vs Dallas
Dallas wins
1)Former champions experience will be too much for Toronto
2)Dirk and Lamar to lead Dallas
3)Another match to probably miss

Philadelphia vs Utah
Philadelphia wins
1)A big game is needed from the youngsters Evans and williams for Philadelphia
2)Millsap,, Favors and Jefferson should have a good night downlow
3)We can safely say neither of these teams have a shot at the title but definitely a match to watch

Chicago vs Clippers
Chicago win in lob city
1)Expect the massively underrated Luol Deng to perform tonight on the offensive end but more importantly definitely on the defensive end
2)Alleyhoop! definitely eyecandy for the fans tonight the best match of the night by far!
3)Rose to lead all scorers and Deandre Jordan to lead with blocks

Lakers in trouble? I dont think so

The Los Angeles Lakers started the season 2-1 and face the New York Knicks tonight at madison sqaure Garden (Catch it for free with NBA League Pass here).

Too many people are jumping on the Clippers bandwagon and writing off the Lakers, if you've got Kobe you've got a chance. He hasn't got as much in his legs anymore but he is still the best closer in the game today, look at the christmas day game against the bulls he made clutch plays especially his memorable fadeway over Deng. Yes he turned it over in the last 20 seconds with a horrible decision to throw a pass which was never going to work but you have to give credit to Deng and the bulls defence.

Secondly, the Lakers may not have Bynum healthy yet but McRoberts for me has been a beacon of hope. He's athletic for his size and provides alot of energy on the rebounding and defensive side, he's not the strongest downlow but he can get his fair share of shots and he seems to have gel'd well with the team (see video below).
Thirdly Blake, Steve Blake is really starting to fill his role considering last season he didn't shoot the three to his best ability only registering 0.374% in the season. Blake has come out this season with alot more confidence taking better shots more often and providing scoring LA will need from him this season.. On a final note Bynum is guaranteed to make a big difference when he returns. Im not saying LA are looking like the champs this season but I predict them making top 3 in the west this season easily.

What do you think?

Andrew Bynum caught speeding

Injured Lakers center Andrew Bynum is reported two have had two traffic violations in the last three day! according to TMZ.

Bynum was pulled over in his Porsche 911 on the freeway for going over  80mph. Bynum was cited and released. Bynum sits out the Lakers match vs the New York Knicks tonight which is good for him considering he's been preocuppied with the law, not so good for the 1-2 Lakers though.

NBA Playoffs part 2

The anticipated sequel to the first part in which I published back in June, this time showing the second half of the playoffs. Once again living up to his expectations xfactor541 (his youtube account name) has pulled out all the stocks, enjoy!

Yet another rumour this time about Dwight Howard,

Howard said “I’m not at liberty to talk about it, but there’s a huge possibility about me going to China or me going overseas to play basketball", Howard went on to say ‘The big thing for me is not giving too much information away, but at the same time I still need to let people know what’s going on with me,’ Howard said, according to The Associated Press. ‘I don’t want to just sit over here and forget about basketball and waste, you know, opportunities for me to get better.

Seems like Howard really is thinking about going overseas which is understandable for someone his age who wants to play while they can.

Kobe playing overseas?

Los Angeles Lakers guard and five time NBA champion Kobe Byant has added himself to the list of players flirting with the possibility of playing overseas.

Reuters reports: “The Los Angeles Lakers guard has been linked with a move to Turkish team Besiktas but said he had not made up his mind because of the uncertainty over the NBA. ‘One thing about basketball is that it is a global sport now,’ Bryant told Reuters in an interview. ‘So you can play anywhere you want to. As far as myself, I just train. I just train and be prepared for anybody that calls.’

Kobe is also looking into playing in an All-star tour of Asia, whether he's in Europe or China it would be great to see Kobe play next year.

Ron Artest not going to England

Ron Artest wont be jumping across the pond any time soon.

In a phone interview with ESPNLosAngles.com, Bauman said a deal is far from reality at this point after plans to play for Cheshire Jets or Glasgow rocks while filiming a movie in England.

“I told him, ‘Ron, the league over there is not strong enough to really give you the competition that you want. Even though that makes sense from a (convenience standpoint), it doesn’t make sense from a basketball perspective.”

Buman goes on to say
“England is probably the 10th or 12th best league in Europe. That isn’t going to make sense. If we do Europe, it’s going to be Israel, Russia, Greece, Turkey, Italy or maybe France. … When we spoke about the lockout, Ron said, ‘Find me the best teams.’

Well even though my hopes have been dashed atleast the BBL got some publicity

Dwight Howard to play in Spain?

Adding to the list of speculated moves to Europe, Orlando magic star Dwight Howard was touring in spain and showed interest in playing there when talking to the press.

Málaga Hoy reported
The NBA is experiencing a crisis because of the lockout (players’ strike that threatens the start of the league in October) What is your opinion? “I think most players agree. I hope they fix the situation as soon as possible to avoid losing a game of the season. The NBA is a global competition followed by millions of viewers and should not pass things like this.”
If the lockout continues, Unicaja needs a player to strengthen the paint area … “It would be fun to play at Unicaja, it sure would be a great experience for me. If the break does not stop I would come to Europe to continue to improve on a great team to end the lockout when ready.”

Looking like an interesting European season next year

Lebron James dunking on a kid!

Funniest video I have seen in time! Leron taking his anger out on an unlucky camper! (although he's now famous thanks to Lebron)

Ron Artest making a jump across the pond?

6'8 Los Angeles Lakers forward Ron Artest listed the countries he like to play in on twitter during the NBA lockout. The UK was on his list, shortly after that he got tweets from BBL teams Glasgow rocks and Cheshire Jets, Ron Artest tweeted 'I think I might play for jets in uk!!!! Can't wait!!!!'. Although his agent is looking at other countries would be great to see him come to the UK!

With players like Luol Deng saying they wanna play in Europe during the lockout and Deron Williams set to sign a contract with Turkish team Besiktas it looks like players might be following a trend here.

What do you think?

Mike Miller undergoes surgery

Miami Heat forward Mike Miller has undergone surgery on a raptured tendon on his left thumb. Miller injured himself late in the regular season, he also had the same injury problems during preseason.

Maybe Mike Miller healthy next season might help LeBum win a championship next year...

Good draft overall, thats if your not comparing it to last years draft because its kind of difficult to compare this draft with the likes of John Wall, Demarcus cousins, Evan turner and Wesley Johnson. Saying that, theres still players at there level in this draft Kyrie Erving being one of them. Cavaliers snapped him up 1st pick which to me is the best thing they could of done, considering they probably have one of the weakest teams talent wise. Also alot of foreign players entering the draft (which is good news to me as im not American)

Australia:1
Hungary:1
Latvia:1
Czech Republic:1
Montenegro:1
Congo:2
Lithuania:2
Croatia:2
Nigeria:1

On another note British baller Matthew Bryan-Amaning did not get drafted, dissapointing to hear but hopefully he'll make it pro in Europe and make his way into the NBA (if thats what he wants to do) sometime in the future.

Whats your view of the draft?
